There are so many compassionate animal lovers in our community – and you're probably one of them! Read on to find out how YOU can help.
Whether you're a visitor to our legendary Wine Country, or are a Napa Valley resident, volunteering for Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch (JARR) will make a difference in the lives of these animals! We are in immediate need of:
While waiting for their forever home, might you provide a loving, temporary place for an animal to land for a few months, a week, or even just a few days? JARR will provide pre-approved medical care for foster animals, and in many cases cover the costs of food and flea and tick medication.
JARR provides spay/neuter and other medical procedures for all of our rescued animals – at times we need volunteers to take them to and from the veterinarian, transport animals from surrender situations or shelters to foster homes, or provide transport services for medication, food, etc. Commitment time varies from as a little as a few moments to a few hours. This is an on-call duty.
Occasional dog walking
Do you enjoy getting your daily fresh air and exercise? Why not consider volunteering to walk our foster animals? We need dog walkers located throughout the Napa Valley. From time to time, our fosters also require assistance with animal sitting and feeding needs.
Senior Pet Wellness
Our dedicated Senior Pet Wellness volunteers work hand in hand with senior citizens and their pets to ensure the animals are receiving the care, exercise, supplies provided for in the program.
JARR hosts and participates in a variety of special events and fundraisers throughout the year. Volunteers are needed for responsibilities at these events such as: ambassadors, greeters, registration, set-up, clean-up, etc.
We educate the community about our mission at many locations such as the Napa and St. Helena Farmer’s Markets, Whole Foods, and at other community events throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to share information about JARR with the public. Attendance of an orientation to learn more is mandatory for participation.
Farmed Animals + Horse Care support
Several of our volunteers partner with our foster parents to provide extra TLC to our farmed animals and horses.
Ella's CatHouse & Catnip Bar
Are you a crazy cat person? Our feline adoption lounge needs volunteers to donate their time as cat greeters, lead cat specialists, and helping to groom and socialize our adoptable cats
*** JARR FOSTER CALL TO ACTION ***
JARR is doing so many great things — thanks in large part to our amazing volunteers, and our reputation continues to grow every day for the good deeds and important work accomplished. We're in the business of saving lives and JARR wants to save even more of them. SOLUTION: MORE QUALITY FOSTER HOMES…because fostering saves lives.
WE ARE PUTTING OUT A FOSTER CHALLENGE/CALL TO ACTION TO YOU. Please take a look at your mobile phone directory and reach out to your friends, colleagues, and families in the Napa/Sonoma area and ask them if they would consider fostering dogs/cats for JARR. If you're not already a JARR Foster, perhaps you would consider it as well.
We are in dire need of the following types of fosters:
Emergency: 24-72 hours
Short Term: 7-28 days
Standard: 1-6 months
Extended: 6 months+

While waiting for their forever home, might you provide a loving, temporary place for an animal to land for a few months, a week, or even just a few days? Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch will provide food, vaccinations, flea/tick medication, and pre-approved medical care for its foster animals.
As we ready JARR's 40-acre physical property for full operations, we are also excited to announce our partnership with Napa Emergency Women's Services (NEWS) and their Survivor Pet Outreach Team (SPOT PROGRAM). Through this collaboration, we can help families in crisis find foster parents and homes for their beloved pets. Our foster parents are temporary parents and care for these animals until a permanent adoption can be made. Often, family members trapped in abusive environments hesitate to leave their situation because they have nowhere to go with their pets.
Our foster parents not only provide a safe and loving home for animals in need, but offer peace of mind to the family who can now get the help they need, knowing their pet is in good hands. While fostering requires time and patience, the rewards are immeasurable.
