Volunteers are the backbone of any non-profit organization and we simply could not do what we do without incredibly dedicated people like YOU!
We are grateful to so many in our community for volunteering with Jameson. At this time, we are taking a brief interlude from processing new volunteer applications until, most likely, the end of September. In the meantime, please email Volunteers@Jamesonrescueranch.org if you have any questions. Note: all applicants are required to complete a background check and attendance at an orientation to learn more about our work.
If you are a current volunteer and have already signed up through Volgistics, please log in here:
Please review the opportunities listed below to get a sense of the role volunteers play here at Jameson.
There are so many cats and dogs in need of a home and our foster parents play an integral part of helping us rescue more animals. If you can provide a loving, temporary place for an animal to land for a week, a month or even longer, Jameson Humane will provide pre-approved medical care for foster animals, and also cover the costs of food and other needed supplies. Taking an animal into your home helps prepare them for a new home in a stress-free environment where they can truly shine.
Jameson Humane provides spay/neuter and other medical procedures for all of our rescued animals. At times we need volunteers to take them to and from the veterinarian, transport animals from surrender situations or shelters to foster homes or provide transport services for medication, food, etc. Commitment time varies.
Do you enjoy getting your daily fresh air and exercise? Why not consider volunteering to walk our foster animals? We need dog walkers located throughout the Napa Valley and have dogs that enjoy a variety of levels of exercise from walking to hiking. So if you are a stroller or a fitness buff, it’s likely we have a dog that needs exercise and would enjoy your company!
Are you a crazy cat person? Our feline adoption lounge needs volunteers to donate their time as cat greeters, lead cat specialists, and helping to groom and socialize our adoptable cats
Our dedicated Senior Citizen Pet Wellness volunteers work hand in hand with senior citizens and their pets to ensure the animals are receiving the care, food supplies and exercise they need when elderly owners need help. Supplies are provided by the program.
Jameson Humane hosts and participates in a variety of special events and fundraisers throughout the year. Responsibilities at these events include ambassadors, greeters, registration, set-up, clean-up, etc.
We educate the community about our mission at many locations such as the Napa and St. Helena Farmer’s Markets, Whole Foods, and at other community events throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to share information about Jameson Humane with the public.
Do you have farmed animal and/or horse experience? Jameson Humane needs volunteers to help care for our horses and farmed animals.
