Adoption Process

Cat & Dog Adoption

Thank you for your interest in adopting a cat or dog from Jameson Humane. Please follow the steps below:

1. Complete the Dog Adoption Application letting us know which dog(s) you are interested in. Or the Cat Adoption Application for cats.
2. Upon approval of an application we will arrange for your entire family to meet the animal(s) selected. While the sanctuary is not open to the public at this time, we are happy to arrange an appointment for you to come visit the cat(s) of interest. Please call 707.927.3536 to make your appointment. Appointments are available 7 days a week. Because most of our dogs are in foster homes, scheduling a visit may take a couple of days to arrange around everybody’s schedule. 
3. A home check is scheduled and then the adoption contract is completed and an adoption fee is paid.

Farmed Animal & Horse Adoption

Thank you for your interest in adopting a farmed animal(s) or horse(s) from Jameson Humane. Please follow the steps below:

1. Contact Pam Wales to let us know which farmed animal(s) you are interested in or Dawn English to let us know which horse(s) you are interested in.
2. Complete an Adoption Application and return to Pam or Dawn.
3. Upon approval of an application we will arrange for your entire family to meet the farmed animal(s) or horse(s) selected.
4. A home check is scheduled and then the adoption contract is completed and an adoption fee is paid.
